Ferdinand the Bull

Earlier in the month, Ferdinand the Bull was playing at the Orpheum downtown. Shannon and I decided to make a date of it and take you boys to see the play. We had recently read the book in our Five In A Row studies so it was the perfect opportunity to elaborate on our study.

We first had dinner at Kooky Canuck. You guys loved it!




Then onto the show. No photos allowed during the play, but we got a few on the steps in the lobby afterwards.




I would like to say that we enjoyed the play but really, we didn't. It was a sad production and they veered away from the book quite a bit. I realize that it is probably hard to have a real person play a bull in Spain but come on, what was the need for the pig? There's no pig in the book!

At least we had fun at dinner!
