You can't trick the Tooth Fairy!

One of the cool things about Cub Scouts is that you get to do things you normally wouldn't get to do. In February, during Dental Hygiene month, the Tooth Fairy came to pay your den a visit!

She played a game with you where you had to answer whether someone was good or bad. Such as, is candy good for you? Here you are giving it a two thumbs up even though you know the real answer for that one!

Here she is showing you the proper way to brush your teeth. You must have been listening because you keep correcting your brother on his brushing skills and tell him to go in little circles!

She also read you guys the Dr. Seuss book, The Tooth Book. You love that book!

Now let me have a sidebar here for a moment. About two weeks before the tooth fairy was scheduled to appear at the scouts meeting, you became really distressed that you had yet to loose a tooth. One evening you were eating an orange and noticed that an orange seed sorta looks like a tooth. You decided that you were going to trick the tooth fairy into visiting you! You got a Ziploc bag, placed that little orange seed, I mean "tooth", into the bag, and put it under your pillow. You were so excited to see what she would bring him on her visit. Well, she visited alright but all she left was a nice, little letter telling you that no matter how hard you tried, you could not trick the tooth fairy. It was so precious to hear your little foot steps running down the stairs to tell me about the letter she had left! It wasn't what you expected but boy were you happy about her visiting!

Now back to the tooth fairy visit. Obviously, the tooth fairy knows all so during her visit with the scouts, she shared her story with the boys about someone recently trying to trick her, with of all things an orange seed! Your eyes got so big and you looked over at me with awe. When she said, "I believe his name started with a B and ended with a Y." You couldn't contain yourself anymore and you shouted out, "that was me!!!!" It was so funny. The entire group got a laugh out of that one! Here's she is busting you on your trick!

You and the den with the tooth fairy

You and Bennett get to talk to her up close and personal. You asked her if she flew to the meeting tonight. So darn cute!

I think you learned your lesson. No tricking the tooth fairy. Don't worry my sweet boy. She'll come visit you soon enough...without any tricks!
